Q: Can you send me a free sample copy so I can see if I want to subscribe?
A: Canadian Stamper is available for sale in retail craft and scrapbook stores across North America. If you can't locate a copy, we have sample copies available for $4.95 (plus local taxes where applicable).
Q: What is a bulk subscription?
A: Bulk subscriptions are most often purchased by groups of individuals, such as members of rubber stamping / scrapbooking clubs, or retail craft and scrapbook stores. Bulk subscriptions are only sold in groups of 5 magazines and all magazines must go to the same address. If your group, club or store wants more than 5 magazines, just order more than one bulk subscription.
Q: What is an institutional subscription?
A: Institutional subscriptions are purchased by libraries, government departments, school boards and other institutions. They are priced higher than individual subscriptions because institutions typically a) require invoicing, often to a separate address, or b) subscribe through a subscription agency, which takes a commission on each sale. In addition, our cost to service institutional subscribers is also higher because their copies are often stolen, which requires us to send replacement copies at our expense.
Q: Could you please invoice me?
A: Our policy is not to invoice individuals. The cost of invoicing and collecting would require that we increase the price of our subscriptions, and we prefer to keep them as low as possible.
Q: What is your lowest subscription rate?
A: Unlike many other magazines, we do not offer discounted rates to lure subscribers (aside from our two-year and five-copy bulk rates); with the exception of the contributors coupon. We feel that our subscription rates are fair, and are based on covering our expenses to produce the magazine. We believe in treating all subscribers in the same way, without some paying more or less than others for their subscriptions. We also feel that the information and inspiration you will receive from reading the Canadian Stamper magazine is worth paying for! In addition, many of those other magazines that offer slashed subscription rates depend more on advertising revenue than they do on subscriber support, so they need to attract as many subscriptions as possible – regardless of how little those subscribers pay. While Canadian Stamper does contain advertising (and we appreciate the support of our advertisers), we prefer to protect our editorial and contributor values by depending on subscriptions for the bulk of our revenue.
